In 1959, the brother-sister duo of Mr. Giovanni and Mrs. Miranda Ferrari, with extraordinary intuition, founded the first customs broker business in Alessandria, Italy, just as the goldsmith district of Valenza was beginning its export journey.
Dedicated entrepreneurs and tireless workers, Mr. Giovanni and Mrs. Miranda Ferrari were soon joined by Mrs. Miranda’s husband, Mr. Giorgio Deiana, in the family business. Mr. Giorgio Deiana led the company for over fifty years, driving Ferrari's growth until his passing in 2018.
Known for his infectious enthusiasm, generosity, and integrity, Mr. Deiana was a gentleman with a deep work ethic and a passion for innovation. In the 1970s, his international vision made Ferrari the first Community Air Courier for diamonds, supporting Italy's jewelry triangle of Valenza, Arezzo, and Vicenza. During the 1980s, he expanded the business by establishing offices in Antwerp, Geneva, Paris, and New York, anticipating the collapse of European borders.
Over the following decades, he further expanded Ferrari Group into new international markets in the U.S. and Asia, making key investments in subsidiaries. Mr. Giorgio Deiana's innovative leadership shaped the Ferrari Group of today.
A forward-thinking entrepreneur, he was committed to excellence for his family, employees, and customers, and was a private philanthropist whose legacy continues through the Giorgio Deiana Foundation. His children, Mr. Marco Deiana and Mr. Corrado Deiana, joined the family business as young men and successfully managed the generational transition, further consolidating the Ferrari Group's position as a market leader, leading the business today as CEO and COO.
